Last regular-season indoor visit takes Lopes to New Mexico

GCU competes with 2 weeks remaining before WAC Indoor Championships
Grand Canyon track and field is heading back to New Mexico for the final time this regular season to compete at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Lopes will have 56 student-athletes traveling to compete with only one more competition prior to the WAC Indoor Championships onΒ Feb. 24-25 in Spokane, Washington.
GCU'sΒ travel team forΒ Albquerque, New Mexico, will include throwers Oscar Rodriguez, Jorden Okyere, Onome Ogbeni andΒ others.
Jumpers will include the likes of Taryn Burkett and Derrick Nwagwu.
The Lopes will bring pole vaulters, includingΒ Jaida Olson, and distance runners, including Jodie Judd and Christian Fagerlin.
On the sprints side, the men will have Umajesty Williams, Erin Brown and Kyle De Moica. The women will have Keira Christie-Galloway, Amanda Thrue and Atena Rayson.
The action will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday (Phoenix times) at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
