Santa Strombacha won their third WAC Doubles Players of the Week honor this season while Strombacha also was chosen as WAC Singles Player of the Week.

Strombacha continued her dominant play in singles, extending her winning streak to six matches as the Lopes picked up a pair of road wins last week. At No. 2, Strombacha defeated San Jose State's Carolina Millan and Santa Clara's Velizara Fileva in back-to-back 6-2, 6-2 wins.

The native of Berlin, Germany has dropped only one set in her last seven matches and leads the team with a 6-1 record.

In doubles, Strombacha teamed up with Puehse to pick up two wins over the weekend and extend their winning streak to four matches. The No. 1 GCU doubles pair defeated San Jose State's Alba Pedrero Galindo and Lara Marco Mas 6-2 and Santa Clara's Jenna Marie Gordon and Kacey Feng 6-1. The Lopes went on to win both doubles points and pick up 4-3 and 4-0 dual wins.

The Lopes will be back in action on Sunday against Weber State at the GCU Tennis Facility with first serve starting at 11 a.m.
