GCU duo earns 2nd WAC honor

Puehse, Strombacha continue strong play at No. 1 position
The Grand Canyon women's tennis team earned its second WAC weekly award as senior Natasha Puehse and junior Santa Strombacha were named WAC Doubles Players of the Week.
The No. 1 GCU duo was dominant in its lone match last week against UC Riverside. Puehse and Strombacha defeated UC Riverside's top pair, Maya Youssef and Brionna Nguyen, 6-0. The GCU duo was the first doubles court to finish as the Lopes went on to defeat the Highlanders 6-1 at home.
Puehse and Strombacha have won their last two matches and they lead the Lopes with a 2-2 record in doubles.
The GCU pair will take its winning streak into this weekend with matches at San Jose State and Santa Clara on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
