7 women, 4 men selected from GCU for 2nd team
The Grand Canyon men's and women's swimming and diving programs had 11 student-athletes named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America's Scholar All-American second team, the coaches organization announced this week.
GCU placed seven women and four men on the second team, which requires student-athletes to earn at least a 3.5 GPA while achieving a NCAA Championships "B" time standard for swimmers or participating in a NCAA Zone Championship for divers.
The Lopes' 11 Scholar All-American selections were the most in the WAC.
