Grand Canyon swimming and diving claimed three WAC weekly awards after their performances against UNLV over the weekend.
Lopes sophomores
Jack Armstrong and
Isaac Poole earned WAC Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, while GCU freshman
Fruzsi Macsok won her first WAC Swimmer of the Week award this season.Â
Armstrong collected three wins in the Lopes' 150-147 victory over UNLV. He won the 50- (20.02) and 100-yard freestyle (43.93) events. The Manvel, Texas, native holds the No. 1Â time in the WAC in those events. In addition, Armstrong also swam a 48.55 to get his third win in the 100 butterfly.Â

Poole swept the springboard events against the Rebels after he posted two NCAA zone qualifying scores. The Shoreline, Washington, native posted a score of 320.03 points in the 1-meter event and totaled 320.93 on the 3-meter board.Â
Macsok earned her first WAC award by posting two season-best times in wins against UNLV. The Gyula, Hungary, native won the 200 breaststroke (2:21.56) and 400 individual medley (4:29.94).Â
Up next, the Lopes will head to the WAC Championships on Feb. 23-26.
