The Grand Canyon swimming and diving teams will travel to Riverside, California, for a Saturday conference matchup with California Baptist at Lancer Aquatics Center. The meet is set to begin at noon. (Phoenix time).

LAST TIME OUT
GCU swimming earned a pair of wins against Concordia Irvine last Saturday. The women's 173-79 win was highlighted by freshman standout
Aleksandra Wegrzynowska. The Wroclaw, Poland native was victorious in three individual events: 200-yard freestyle (1:52.99), 500 freestyle (5:11.78) and 200 butterfly (2:06.37). The men's team posted a 169-69 win against the Eagles. Sophomore
Jack Armstrong also won three individual events, setting a pool record in the butterfly leg of a 400 medley relay win.

SCOUTING
Lancers: CBU swimming is coming off a second-place finish against UC Santa Barbara. The Lancers won a total of seven events in their first match-up with the Gauchos. The divers competed at the UCLA Bruin Diving Invitational where they had several divers make the finals. Senior Evan Honer finished in third place on the platform. California Baptist is led by swimming head coach Rick Rowland who is in his 21
st season with the Lancers after starting the program in 1999-2000.
SERIES HISTORY
GCU women's swimming and diving team holds a 2-0-1 advantage over the CBU. The last time the Lopes saw the Lancers on Dec. 12, 2020, it ended in a tie of 145-145. On the men's side, the Lopes won the meet 170-130. The series history puts the Lopes ahead 3-0.
