THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- MAJOR WAC AWARDS: The Lopes took two of this season's three major WAC awards with head coach Greg Prudhomme earning his fifth WAC Coach of the Year honor with the women's team. Sophomore Natasha Puehse was named WAC Singles Player of the Year after leading the Lopes with a 13-4 record (6-0 in WAC)Â from the No. 1 spot.
 - NINE ALL-WAC AWARDS: All six GCU starters earned All-WAC awards. Five of the six first-team honors went to the Lopes, as well as two first-team doubles spots. GCU also had a second-team doubles honor with Puehse and Jana Weiss and a second-team singles honor earned by Autum Prudhomme.
 - WAC TOURNAMENT CONTINUES: If the Lopes defeat the Redhawks, the team will head to the WAC Tournament championship match on Sunday at 8 a.m. (Phoenix time). The Lopes would face either No. 2 New Mexico State or No. 3 UT Rio Grande Valley.
SCOUTING
Seattle U picked up its first win of the season with a 4-3 victory over Chicago State in the first round of the WAC Tournament. The match came down to the final point with Seattle U prevailing in singles. Peggy Rooke won her match in three sets at No. 2 singles to clinch the Redhawks win.WHAT'S NEXT
- GCUÂ will face either No. 2 New Mexico State or No. 3 UTRGV in the championship match on Sunday.
