Harris, Lundberg awarded WAC weekly honors

GCU vertical jumpers earn 2nd WAC awards of season
Grand Canyon seniors Ethan Harris and Madelyn Lundberg earned WAC Outdoor Field Athletes of the Week from their impressive performances at the Canyon Invitational on Saturday.
Harris reset his personal school record in the high jump with 2.15-meter jump and won the event. The California native leads the WAC by more than 4 inches. His performance also ranks 16th in the NCAA West Region and 33rd nationally.
Lundberg received her second WAC weekly honor of the season after her 4.15-meter pole vault on Saturday, when she placed runner-up. The mark set a GCU record and ranks first in the WAC by almost 4 inches. She ranks 20th in Division I this season.
The Lopes will travel to Tucson to compete at the Desert Classic on Saturday, when they can prove themselves one more time before the WAC Outdoor Championships on May 13-15 in Edinburg, Texas.
