Strong showing at The Clover Cup is WAC's best
DENVER – Carmen Belmonte of the Grand Canyon women's golf team has been named the TicketSmarter WAC Golfer of the Week.
The sophomore posted the top stroke average in the WAC after facing off with the top golfers in the nation at The Clover Cup, hosted by Arizona State.
Belmonte finished with a 219 (3 over par) total, the second best score from an individual competing in the event held at Longbow Golf Club.
Belmonte and the Lopes head to the Red Rocks Invitational on Saturday in Sedona, Ariz.
