Maria Brunlehner were named WAC Swimmers of the Week for the second time this season.

Armstrong, a sophomore from Manvel, Texas, led the Lopes to victory at the three-day Miami Invitational last week. On Day 1, he won the 50-yard freestyle with time of 19.30 seconds, putting him 17th in the nation, according to SwimCloud.
Armstrong led off the Lopes' winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:18.25) and closed his run with a third-place finish in the 100 butterfly, finishing in a time of 47.63 that is third fastest in the WAC this season.Â

Brunlehner's performance was the highlight of the Lopes' second-place finish at the Miami Invitational after she broke five GCU school records and earned five NCAA B cuts. The GCU freshman won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.54, placing her at the top of the WAC.
She also finished second in the 200 breaststroke, posting a time of 1:01.39. The native of Mombasa, Kenya, broke the 50 freestyle school record with a time of 22.66 on the Lopes' winning 200 freestyle relay. Brunlehner also contributed to school records in the 400 freestyle relay (3:20.65) and the 200 relay (1:40.30).
