Aleksandra Wegrzynowska earned WAC Swimmer of the Week after winning five events and earning season-best times in all of her respective events on the weekend at Washington State and Idaho.
The Wroclaw, Poland, native started the weekend by winning the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10 minutes, 41.83 seconds and the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:05.75 against the Cougars. She totaled 18 points for the Lopes at Washington State.
On Saturday, Wegrzynowska claimed the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.14 against the Vandals for the season's fastest time in the WAC. She also won the 500 freestyle (5:09.40) at Idaho and recorded this season's second-fastest 400 individual medley time (4:30.28).
