Grand Canyon ran away with the WAC's weekly Track Athlete of the Week honors. Senior

Alexa Hokanson both won the award after their performances at the San Diego State Aztec Invitational last weekend.

Flores, a senior from Glendale, Ariz., was the first collegiate athlete to cross the finish line in the 1,500-meter run. The senior ran the WAC's top time of 3 minutes and 52.42 seconds, which ranks 24th in the West Region rankings. Flores beat athletes from Oregon, Arizona, UC Santa Barbara and Loyola Marymount.

Hokanson, a sophomore from Scottsdale, Ariz., broke her school record in the 800-meter run and ranks 12th in the country with her time of 2:07.61. The sophomore ranks first in the WAC and eighth in the West Region rankings.
