Celina Buhr extended their three-match winning streak over the weekend as they won their second straight WAC award.
Against Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, the No. 1 doubles pair for the Lopes came back from an early deficit. The juniors from Ragusa, Italy, and Hamburg, Germany, flipped a 0-3 deficit to win 7-5 against Titans duo Karla Portalatin and Sarah Nuno.
For Occhipinti, this is her fourth consecutive week of representation in the WAC weekly awards, winning twice in singles and now twice in doubles. For Buhr, she is close to matching her doubles season total from a year ago, when she won four matches at No. 2 while playing with four different teammates.
The women's team will be back in action at home Sunday against Colorado State at 10 a.m.
