McInelly adds another WAC honor

Sophomore won 2 individual events against UNLV to earn Jan. 28-Feb. 4 award
Grand Canyon's Marina McInelly was named WAC Women's Swimmer of the Week for Jan. 28-Feb. 4.
McInelly, a sophomore from Gilbert, Ariz., collected two individual victories, winning the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 2.78 seconds and the 200 breaststroke in 2:20.63. Her time in the 100 breaststroke broke her previous home pool record of 1:04.38. She also contributed to a first-place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:47.39.
McInelly sits third in the WAC for the 100 breaststroke and fifth for the 200 breaststroke.
The women are back in action Feb. 9, when they travel to Las Cruces, N.M., to take on New Mexico State in their regular-season finale.
