Senior diver named Diver of the Week
Grand Canyon senior diver Pietro Hufnagel Toscani won WAC Diver of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.Â

In the opening weekend of the season, Toscani performed well in the 1- and 3-meter dives at the TYR Fall Classic in Miami. The Brazil native won the 1-meter dive with an NCAA Zone Championship qualifying score of 331.90 points. He placed second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 322.70, which was less than five points from the top score.
Other schools competing included TCU, LSU, Florida Atlantic, Pittsburgh, Old Dominion, George Washington, Army, FIU's women and Keiser's men.

Toscani and the Lopes head to Seattle next to compete in their first conference meet of the season against Seattle U on Oct. 18-19.Â
