SAN FRANCISCO – The Grand Canyon women's golf team finished the second day of the NCAA San Francisco Regional in 17
th place at TPC Harding Park.
The Lopes improved their team score from day one, finishing with a 304 (+16) total for round two.
GCU was led by
Siripatsorn Patchana for the second consecutive day, this time with a round of 73 (+1). Patchana shot under par on her final nine holes and is the top GCU individual in 39th place.
Deanna Salvatori had two birdies in her final six holes to post a final nine 35 (-1). Salvatori shot a 74, six shots better than her first-round.
Courtney Vogel shot a 35 on her first nine holes (holes 10-18), which is playing as the tougher nine on the course. She finished with a second-round total 77.
Alexis Linam finished with an 80 while
Carolina Sandstrom finished with an 83.
GCU has a chance to move up on Wednesday during final round action. The Lopes trail Long Beach State by two shots and Princeton by eight shots. GCU will be paired with Fairleigh Dickinson and Long Beach State.
