Lopes finish in seventh place in Riverside

FINAL RESULTS
RIVERSIDE – The Grand Canyon women's golf team finished the 14-team Battle At The Rock tournament in seventh place on Tuesday afternoon in Riverside.
GCU was led by Deanna Salvatori with rounds of 71-71-72, good for a fifth-place finish. Of 81 golfers in the field, Salvatori was one of just six golfers to finish the tournament under par. She finished just three shots off the co-leaders who finished at -5.
Courtney Vogel also turned in a solid tournament for the Lopes with rounds of 71-78-72, good for a 14th place finish.
Carolina Sandstrom fired rounds of 76-73-78, finishing in 34th place. Siripatsorn Patchana finished in 57th place and Alexis Linam finished in 72nd place.
UC Davis won the team title, finishing with an 874 total. Hawaii (882), UC Riverside (886), Stetson (886) and Nevada (887) rounded out the top five. CSUB finished with an 892 total, edging out GCU (895) for sixth place.
GCU is back in action on Feb. 24-25 when it hosts the GCU Invitational at GCU Golf Course.
