ELK GROVE, CALIF. -- The Grand Canyon men's golf team dominated the third and final round of the Sacramento State Invitational to land 12 strokes in front and claim the title for first place.
The Lopes shot 289, 285 and 288 for the three rounds and maintained a solid lead throughout the two-day tournament.
Individually,
Billy Comeaux shot four strokes under par for a score of 212 to place first overall, just one stroke ahead of teammateÂ
Vinnie Murphy who tied for second.
Jake Chanen was set to take third going into the back nine, but dropped to a tie for 8th.
Hayden Webb rebounded quickly from +5 and +4 on Day 1 to shoot one under par in the final round and tie for 15th overall.  Â
The Lopes return home to host the GCU Invitational beginning March 17-18.
