RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- GCU's Caitilin Hoffman and Eddy Salcido earned first-place finishes and set three school records each at the PCSC Pentathlon hosted by Cal Baptist Saturday.
Hoffman won the 100 backstroke (1:01.92) and set new marks in the 100 butterfly (1:02.82), 100 breaststroke (1:41.91) and 200 IM (2:19.31).
Salcido (pictured) won the 100 breaststroke with a record time of 58.61. He added records in the 50 breaststroke (27.55) and 200 IM (2:06.50).
Brooke Bellah set a new standard in the women's 100 freestyle (57.16) and Mike Smyers is the new record-holder in the men's 100 IM (58.58).
The men placed sixth and the women were 10th. Host Cal Baptist won the men's event and Pepperdine took the women's top spot.
