COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Grand Canyon junior Kat Briggs and sophomore Charlie Woodruff (pictured) were named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving All-Academic teams, announced Tuesday by the conference.
Briggs (Rochester, MN/John Marshall HS/Rochester Comm. and Tech Coll.) is a Pre-Med major carrying a 3.28 grade point average.
Woodruff (Phoenix, AZ/Central) is a Pre-Med major, too, and has a 3.38 GPA.
To qualify for Academic All-RMAC, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.20 or better, be a starter or key reserve, and completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their current institution. Their GPA is what they had earned prior to the swimming and diving season beginning. They will be honored in a ceremony Friday during the RMAC Championships in San Antonio, Texas.
