GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Grand Canyon University's men's swim team went 3-0 in the dual-scored Mesa State Invitational Saturday.
GCU beat Colorado College (141-100), Mesa State (157-22) and the University of Colorado (124-108).
The women's team went 0-4 with losses to Air Force Academy (224-20), Colorado College (142-66), Mesa State (217-36) and Colorado (190-50).
The men's team earned six first-place finishes.
Will Crimmins, Eddy Salcido, Ben Hewitt and Charles Woodruff won the 200 meter medley relay in 1:53.60. Crimmins added a win in the 100 backstroke (1:02.28). Salcido won the 100 breaststroke (1:09.22) and Woodruff was victorious in the 100 freestyle (56.48).
Other top finishes were turned in by Keith Myers in the 200 breaststroke (2:33.77) and Tyler Bhirdo (pictured) in the 800 freestyle (9:43.78).
