Spencer Widlicka enters his season season with the Grand Canyon men's soccer program in 2020 as the volunteer assistant and goalkeepers coach. He helped GCU to a .353 shutout percentage and a 4-9-4 record in 2019.
Currently a coach with Real Salt Lake Arizona, Widlicka has experience coaching at numerous levels.
He gained club coaching experience with three different clubs in Ohio spanning seven years. He coached his alma mater, United Local High School (Hanoverton, Ohio), for four seasons from 2012 to 2015. Most recently, Widlicka spent the last four years coaching at the University of Mount Union, a Division III school in Alliance, Ohio.
Widlicka played soccer at D-II Ohio Valley University from 2008 to 2012 where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management and Biblical Studies.
While coaching at Mount Union, Widlicka added a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.
