Vlastimir Davidovic enters his third season on the GCU men's soccer staff in 2020 and second year as a full-time member of the coaching staff after serving one season in 2018 as the volunteer assistant coach. Davidovic also added the title of recruiting coordinator in the spring of 2019.
After joining the program in the spring of 2018, Davidovic's first season with GCU resulted in a WAC Tournament Championship and the program's first trip to the Division I NCAA Tournament. He aided GCU's efforts in video analysis of own team and scouting presentations on opponents and practice planning while operating the program’s camps.
Davidovic aided head coach Schellas Hyndman to his 500th DI win on August 30, 2019 with a 3-0 win over Northern Kentucky in the 2019 season opener.
With an extensive background in Phoenix's club soccer landscape, Davidovic brings local ties and a wealth of knowledge on Arizona soccer to the program.
Davidovic comes to GCU having coached youth soccer since 2012 locally at Valparaiso United FC, where he served as the Director of Coaching. He helped build and establish Valparaiso United FC before the club’s merger into RSL AZ in 2018. With Valparaiso United’s merger into Real Salt Lake - Arizona, Davidovic worked for RSL-AZ as a head coach and boys division director. Before transitioning full time with GCU in 2019, Davidovic finished the season with RSL AZ by winning the Arizona State Cup (U13s) with his 2006 RSL AZ boys team. Davidovic currently holds USSF National A coaching license, having completed the course in January of 2020.Â

In his playing days, Davidovic played locally for Sereno Soccer Club 89s, a team that was No. 1 ranked nationally.
At the collegiate soccer level, Davidovic played for Paradise Valley CC in 2007 before transferring and playing at the University of Portland from 2008 to 2010. He was part of a team that reached NCAA Quarterfinals his junior year.
Post college, he played for one season in PASL (Professional Arena Soccer League) for Real Phoenix FC, finishing the 2012-13 season as the team MVP with 23 goals and 7 assists in 13 games.

Davidovic received his degree in Psychology from the University of Portland in 2010.
