Jamie Davies announced his first nonconference schedule as head coach of the Grand Canyon men's soccer program with eight matchups, including five consecutive ones at home from Aug. 28 to Sept. 16.
The 2026 season officially kicks off Aug. 20 at Stanford, followed by a visit to Sacramento State. The Cardinal finished 14-4-2 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament third round, pitting 2025 Sweet 16 teams against each other to open the season.
The first of five straight GCU home contests begins Aug. 28 versus UC Riverside, followed by GCU Stadium visits from Oakland, Houston Christian, UC Santa Barbara and former WAC foe California Baptist over a three-week stretch.
Highlighted matchups include Houston Christian, which won 11 games a season ago and finished second in the Ohio Valley, and UC Santa Barbara, which has a 19-10-13 showing over the past two seasons with a 2024 NCAA Tournament berth. California Baptist also won 10 games in 2025 and finished as WAC regular-season champions.
The nonconference schedule concludes Sept. 20 at CSUN before Mountain West action begins Sept. 26 at home vs. UNLV.
GCU's regular-season schedule totals 18 games from the Aug. 20 opener to the Nov. 6 finale at Air Force. The Mountain West Championship will run Nov. 10-13.
