- Earned second team all-state recognition at the 6A level as a sophomore in 2017 and senior in 2019.
- Former Basha teammates Michael Perzan and Jake Jarvis are also current members of the Lopes, while Basha alum Jack Schneider is also on the team.
- Was also a standout, first team all-state football player, accumulating 2,474 receiving yards with 15 touchdowns over three varsity seasons. Was also a defensive back with nine career interceptions, and a kicker with a career-long field goal of 44 yards.
- Labeled "Basha's multi-sport star." "I feel like it makes me a better football player and a better baseball player just being able to be multi-sport and diverse."
- On choosing baseball over football: "It was hard. Overall, I went on my visit to GCU, met with the coaches, talked to them all the time, they kept in touch. I really just fell in love with the school, fell in love with the program and the coaches. I felt like that was the place that was meant for me."
