- Made six appearances in second season.
- Strung together three consecutive scoreless relief appearances against Stanford, Sacramento State and Abilene Christian spanning late April to late May.
- Struck out three batters in a WAC Tournament outing on May 28 against Abilene Christian.
- Did not make appearance in first season with Lopes.

- Played in the CIF Championship in 2017 alongside brother, Pierson, which he cites as his top sports memory to date.
- Finished his four-year varsity career with a 12-8 record and 2.12 ERA. He struck out 152 batters while only waking 23 in 122 career innings.
- Graduated with a 3.95 GPA.
- Played alongside Lopes teammate Josh Buckley.

- Sister, Payton, played volleyball at The Master's University in 2016.
- Brother, Pierson, played at GCU from 2019-21 and was an All-American and the WAC Pitcher of the Year as a junior in 2019. He is currently a member of the Minnesota Twins organization after being drafted in the 14th round of the 2021 MLB Draft. Carson cites Pierson as the biggest influence on his baseball career.
- Played alongside Lopes teammate Jacob Wilson intermittently since Age 5.
- Off the field, enjoys golfing, working out and fishing.
- Chose GCU for "the coaching staff and the atmosphere, not only as an athlete, but also as a student."
- Favorite pro sports team is the Los Angeles Dodgers.
