- Named a Rawlings National Club Baseball Association D-I Second Team All-American for GCU's club team in 2022.
- Earned first team all-region as both an outfielder and a relief pitcher.
- Hit .426 and slugged .759, helping lead GCU to a 21-10 record.
- Threw 16 innings, going 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA.
- Selected as GCU's Club Sports Student-Athlete of the Month in March.
- Tossed a nine-inning complete game shutout, allowing just two hits and striking out 17 against UC San Diego's club team on Feb. 12.

- Hit .357 in 15 games in the shortened 2020 season as a sophomore. Tossed 15 1/3 innings with a 3.52 ERA and 16 strikeouts.
- Was primarily a pitcher in his freshman season in 2019. Made 15 appearances and accumulated 44 1/3 innings, posting an impressive 2.44 ERA with a 3-1 mark and 35 strikeouts.

- Parents are Gary and Lisa Martinez. Cites his parents as the biggest influence on his sport: "My parents would be the biggest personal influence for me, they raised me to be a good respectful young man and sacrificed so much for me to be where I'm at."
- Grandpa, Ronald Martinez, was a fifth-round draft pick by the Detroit Tigers in 1974 out of Buena High School.
- Off the field, enjoys fishing, camping, being in the outdoors and playing pickle ball.
