From TopDrawer Soccer Player of the Year to All-American to MAC Hermann Trophy finalist, Grand Canyon forward
Junior Diouf signed his first professional contract with S.K. Beveren.

Sportkring (S.K.) Beveren competes in the Challenger Pro League out of Beveren, East Flanders, Belgium. The Challenger Pro League is the second highest professional division in the country.
Founded in 2016, the Challenger Pro League consists of 17 clubs. S.K. Beveren holds the top spot in the standings, totaling 69 points, 15 points higher than KV Kortrijk in second.
From Thies, Senegal, Diouf dazzled onto the scene with an immediate impact as an 18-year-old freshman for the Lopes, who finished 14-4-5 and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
Diouf totaled 18 goals, six assists, 79 shots, 36 shots on goal and finished with a .456 shot-on-goal percentage. Seven of his goals were game-winners, with the first setting the stage of his dynamic and electric play.
Diouf scored the game-tying goal in the 81st minute against Jacksonville in the season opener and followed that up with the game-winner with 14 seconds to spare. From there, Diouf captured the men's soccer audience with his creative footwork inside the box and his precision on net even with multiple defenders surrounding him.
With many game-changing goals, none came more clutch than his 88th-minute goal against San Diego in the NCAA Tournament's second round, sending the Lopes to the Sweet 16.
His goal count finished second in the nation, leading to him being named a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, college soccer's most prestigious award. He also earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-America first team, becoming the first Lopes player to do so in program history. He garnered the honor of TopDrawerSoccer Player of the Year, the first freshman in TDS history to receive the top award.
Diouf leaves GCU as the program leader for single-season goals and asissts in its Division I era (since 2013) and is tied for ninth for single-season points in program history (since 1985).
