Mueller announces 1st Mountain West schedule

GCU sets 11-tourney slate, topped by conference event in Tucson
The Grand Canyon men's golf team begins its first season in the Mountain West Conference on Sept. 19 when it starts an 11-tournament schedule announced by Lopes head coach Mark Mueller.
GCU will mix in four tournaments during the fall season, followed by six regular-season events in the spring. The Lopes will compete in an individual-only tournament Feb. 15-17 in Goodyear, bringing the regular=season slate to 11 tournaments before the Mountain West Championship on a to be determined location.
The Mountain West Conference had four teams finish with a top-60 rank or better at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign, including San Diego State (15), UNLV (34), New Mexico (42) and Colorado State (56).
GCU returns three of its starting five from a season ago, including WAC Freshman of the Year Matthew Diehl and All-WAC honorees Gavin O'Neill and Nixon Lauritzen.
