Grand Canyon men's soccer and Playmaker Futbol Academy have signed a partnership for the upcoming soccer season and beyond.
Located in Scottsdale, Playmaker Futbol Academy holds various academies throughout the year for ages 4-18, with its mission statement reading: "To create and implement an unsurpassed soccer development program using our own methodologies that involve a long-term approach to the growth and development of youth soccer players."
"The GCU soccer staff is very excited about our partnership with Playmaker Futbol Academy, as it will give us the ability to work with youth players and parents from the Phoenix area and help grow the game at the younger age groups," said head coach
George Kiefer.
PF Academy has multiple teams across all youth ages, and is affiliated with the Arizona Advanced League, the Arizona Soccer Association, and the USYS National League E64.
"The college landscape is changing fast, and Playmaker has made a great commitment to support GCU Men's Soccer and we will be very committed to help their club," Kiefer said.
"Playmaker Futbol Academy is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Grand Canyon University, a collaboration set to enhance opportunities for young athletes pursuing both soccer and academic excellence," said Julien Dragomir, Executive Director.
