GCU graduate earned top-10 finish with 7-under card at Thunderbird Collegiate

Grand Canyon graduate Tommaso Zorzetto ended his final collegiate regular-season tournament with a top-10 finish at the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate, earning WAC Golfer of the Week after a 7-under-par tournament.

Zorzetto, an All-WAC first-team recipient last season, shot 70/66/70 at Papago Golf Club in Phoenix last weekend, leading the Lopes to a fifth-place finish to close out the regular season. Zorzetto tallied 14 birdies over 54 holes to tie for seventh in that category among the 64-player field and was flawless over his second round with five birdies and no bogeys.

The Padova, Italy, native defeated 10 players ranked in the Clippd Scoreboard's top 150 national ranking and notched five birdies over his final round to secure ninth place.

GCU aims for a three-peat in the WAC Championship, competing in the three-day tournament from Friday to Saturday at The Golf Club at Chaparral Pines in Payson, Arizona, located about 100 miles northeast of the Lopes' campus.
