Senior Day honors 9 GCU seniors on Sunday afternoon
Grand Canyon completes its regular season at home this week with must-win matches vs. Boise State on Thursday and Colorado College on Sunday.
AT A GLANCE
- GCU sophomore forward Reese Clem scored in both matches over the week of play and has scored in three consecutive matches. She leads the team with six goals, most by any Lope in a single season since 2023.
- Lopes junior goalkeeper Emma Knack is third in the nation in saves with 109 and ranks fifth in the country in saves per match (6.8). She holds the top-three MW single-match totals this season (16 and 11 twice).
- Knack now holds the GCU Division I-era record in single-season saves.
- The Lopes have not lost two consecutive matches at any point this season, hoping to continue that streak Thursday vs. Boise State.
- GCU is honoring nine seniors on Sunday, four of which have played at GCU for their entire careers. Seven of the nine have started this season.
- Sophomore forward Ellie Johannes and freshman midfielder Caprice Chiuchiolo are playing overseas in international competition this week.
- Johannes is playing with El Salvador's national team in Guatemala for the Central American Games.

- Grand Canyon tied Wyoming 1-1 at home and lost 3-2 at Fresno State in their fourth week of Mountain West play.
- Wyoming scored a late equalizer in the second half to earn a draw.
- After going down 2-0 in the first 15 minutes of the match, Fresno State scored three times to steal the win.

- Grand Canyon joined the Mountain West this fall, making the Lopes the 13th team in the conference for the 2025 season.
- The top six teams will make the Mountain West Championship in Boise, Idaho, with the winner of the tournament collecting an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
- GCU enters Week 11 in seventh place, with 10 points accumulated over its 3-4-1 record. The Lopes have two remaining conference matches, while five of the six teams above the Lopes have three remaining.
- Boise State sits atop the Mountain West standings with 20 points (6-0-2 MW record).
SCOUTING BOISE STATE & COLORADO COLLEGE
- This is the first meeting ever between Boise State and GCU.
- Boise State beat San Diego State and New Mexico on the road last week, winning 2-1 in each match.
- The Broncos are 8-3-6 (6-0-2 MW) this season to lead the conference. Boise State is the only team to clinch a spot in the MW Championship so far.
- This will be the first-ever meeting between Colorado College and GCU.
- Colorado College won home matches last week over Nevada (2-1) and UNLV (1-0).
