Forward from Canada becomes GCU's 12th signee this spring
Grand Canyon first-year head coach George Kiefer continues to build the Lopes' roster with their 12th signee of the spring, adding depth to the attacking front with the championship experience ofΒ Hendrix Mota.

From Montreal, Canada, Mota enters the fall season as a true freshman after playing for South Kent School and Woodstock Academy.

As a junior for South Kent, Mota was a junior all-star and helped his team earn a national championship at the prep level. He moved to Woodstock Academy for his senior season, whenΒ he again won a prep national championship andΒ was named to an All-America watch list and the Prep Premier League first team.

GCU is coming into form with 12 players signed over the course of the spring, including: Jony Muñoz, Alan Hermitte, Serigne Babacar Diallo, Henrique Lobato, Ben Assane, Lalo Serrano, Liam Harrington, Iann Topete, Austin Pearcy, Xande Santos and Viggo Gustavvson.
