Massachusetts native earned All-State in 2022

The Grand Canyon University men's soccer team continued its signing class with the signing of incoming freshman Xande Santos.

A product of Wayland, Massachusetts, Santos will begin his collegiate career in the fall of 2024 and brings depth to the midfield position following a high school campaign that saw him earn multiple accolades.

Santos earned 2022 Dual County League All-Conference Team and Dual County Foley MVP in 2022, a season in which he scored 10 goals and added four assists. He was also named to the All-State team that season and was named an Eastern MA All Star. Santos was a starter for Wayland High School and was named co-captain last season.

Santos is the 11th signee this spring for the Lopes and fifth midfielder, joining Jony Munoz, Lalo Serrano, Ian Topete, and Austin Pearcy at that position as newcomers of the team in 2024.
