Boulder Creek alum Pearcy brings talents to GCU

Midfielder earned First Team All-Region for Yavapai College
GCU has added a local tie to its squad for the upcoming 2024 season in Phoenix native Austin Pearcy.
Pearcy, who attended Boulder Creek High School, played for Phoenix Rising FC's MLSNext Academy team while in school and led the team in assists during the 2021-22 season.
The midfielder recently spent the past two seasons at Yavapai College, where he earned First Team All-Region accolades as a sophomore in 2023. He tallied five goals, including two game winners, and three assists in 14 games played that year. During his freshman campaign in 2022, Pearcy had two goals and three assists.
Pearcy is the second player from Yavapai College to join GCU in recent weeks, joining forward Ian Topete. GCU's signee number moves to 12 for the class of 2024.
