Viggo Gustavsson named to the All-WAC Freshman Team.
Nutornutsi claimed his third career All-WAC award, earning freshman team accolades in 2022 and first-team honors in 2023. The Accra, Ghana, native ranked top 10 in multiple WAC categories, including third in goals (seven), fifth in shot accuracy (.395) and sixth in points (15).
Nutornutsi was the team's leading scorer with 15 points while totaling 38 shots and 15 shots on goal. He began the season with four goals in two games, including two at now-No. 2 Duke in a 3-2 win. He also started conference play with back-to-back games with a goal and played a full 90 minutes in 11 matches.
Lopez tied for the team lead in assists (five) with senior forward
Ben Assane to rank fifth in the conference. Lopez scored two goals on the season and opened the campaign with a point in five of the first six games. In two seasons with the Lopes, the Bakersfield, California, product has six goals and eight assists.
Making an immediate impact on the back line of defense was Gustavsson, who started in every game he appeared in as a freshman. He finished fifth on the team in minutes played and added his first career point with an assist vs. Omaha. GCU's back line consistently ranked in the top three for goals against average in the WAC, led by the first-year player out of Sundbyberg, Sweden.
