Grand Canyon fifth-year midfielder
Justin Rasmussen earned a spot on the College Soccer News Preseason All-America second team.
"Justin is an exceptional player whose play on the field is matched by his character off the field," GCU head coach
Leonard Griffin said. "I'm fortunate to be able to work with him and help him leave his own legacy for himself and the team here at GCU. I have no doubt that he has a bright future ahead of him."

Rasmussen became the first NCAA Division I All-American in Lopes program history last season after helping lead GCU to a 7-0 regular season, a WAC regular-season title and the Lopes' second NCAA tournament appearance in three years.
The Las Vegas native is one of just 35 players in the country who were picked to the preseason first, second and third teams.
Last season, Rasmussen started all 10 matches for the Lopes in the spring and scored five goals, the second most on the team, and two assists.
In his standout season, he received several accolades, including All-WAC first team, United Soccer Coaches All-Far West Region first team, NCAA All-America third team, College Soccer News All-America second team and a No. 49 ranking in the Top Drawer Soccer National Top 100.
Rasmussen enters his fifth season with the 22nd-ranked Lopes, which begins at home on Thursday against Illinois-Chicago.
