GCU faces 4 teams in Fullerton event

The Grand Canyon women's tennis team will head to CSU Fullerton for the second annual CSUF Spring Invite that will run from Friday to Sunday. It will be the first time the Lopes will compete in the event.

The Lopes, CSU Fullerton, Pacific, Santa Clara and San Jose State will compete in dual-match and round-robin formats during the three-day event.

Team scores will not count but GCU will play each team in singles and doubles. It will allow the Lopes to face multiple teams in preparation for the remaining spring season, along with giving the team a preview of the Spartans before they play at the GCU Tennis Facility on Feb. 15.

Below is the full schedule for the Lopes:

Friday

9 a.m.: GCU vs. Pacific (doubles)
10 a.m.: GCU vs. Santa Clara (singles)
1 p.m.: GCU vs. San Jose State (doubles)

Saturday

9 a.m.: GCU vs. San Jose State (singles)
11 a.m.: GCU vs. Santa Clara (doubles)
1 p.m.: GCU vs. CSU Fullerton (singles)

Sunday

10 a.m.: GCU vs. Pacific (singles)
1 p.m.: GCU vs. CSU Fullerton (doubles)
