STOCKTON, Calif. – The Grand Canyon men's golf team moved up to seventh place after Tuesday's second round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
Braley led the Lopes with an even-par 72 to be in an 11-way tie for 14th place.
Other GCU scores included Salazar (73), Lampson (74), Chanen (74) and Nolan (75). Salazar's round included an eagle on the 540-yard sixth hole.
San Jose State led the tournament at 282 (6 under par) with No. 35 Long Beach State (286) and Sacramento State (288) rounding out the top three.

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Grand Canyon men's golf team moved up to seventh place after Tuesday's second round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
The Lopes made a big push over their final nine holes of the second round to come within four shots of fourth place in the 16-team field. After being 2 over par as a team through nine holes, the Lopes finished the day with a 4-under-par 284. The score was nine strokes better than Monday's first round.
San Jose State leads the tournament with a 13-under-par score of 563. No. 5 BYU (567) and No. 35 Long Beach State (569) round out the top three.
Senior Trevor Lampson led the Lopes on Tuesday with a 4-under-par 68, including five birdies and one bogey to move into a tie for ninth place.
GCU seniors Michael Salazar, T.J. Nolan and Jake Chanen each fired rounds of 72. Nolan had GCU's lone eagle Tuesday, carding a three on the par-5 sixth hole.
Sophomore Matthew Braley had a 73 and is 1 over par for the tournament to tie for 31st place entering final-round action on Wednesday.
