Following the clinching of a WAC Tournament berth with a two-win weekend, the Grand Canyon men's soccer team will conclude the regular season at UNLV on Friday night.
GCU improved to 4-0 against top-25 competition this season when the Lopes topped No. 8 Air Force 1-0.
Friday's season finale will be available on the WAC Digital Network.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- SEEDING SCENARIOS: With a win on Friday night and losses or draws by Seattle U (Friday at San JoséΒ State) and Utah Valley (Saturday at Air Force), the Lopes could finish as the No. 3 seed for next week's WAC Tournament. With a loss, GCU could finish as low as No. 7.
Β - TOP FIVE:Β With the two victories at GCU Stadium over the weekend, head coach Schellas Hyndman entered the top-five leaderboard for all-time NCAA Division I victories. Holding 495 career wins, Hyndman is now alone in fifth place in the record books.
Β - AWARDS SWEEP: Entering last weekend, the Lopes had claimed just one WAC Player of the Week award on the season. After back-to-back upsets, the WAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week both wore a GCU uniform. Senior Jackson Jellah won the weekly honor for his pair of game-winning goals, while freshman goalkeeper George Tasouris allowed just one goal and held Air Force, the nation's No. 3 scoring offense, scoreless.
SCOUTING
UNLV enters the weekend tied for sixth place in the WAC standings. The Rebels opened the 2018 season by winning four of their first five, and they enter Friday's regular season finale having won four of their last five.Sophomore midfielder Marco Gonzalez leads UNLV offensively with nine goals and 21 points. He leads the WAC with 66 shots on the season. Paired with GCU sophomore Josh Drack, Gonzalez represents one of two underclassmen who were named to the All-WAC Preseason team.
The Lopes and Rebels met twice last season in a five-day span with UNLV emerging victorious in both meetings. UNLV won the regular season finale in Phoenix, 4-1. The Rebels were also GCU's opponent in the Lopes' WAC Tournament debut. A Niki Jackson penalty kick tied the score at 1, but the Rebels found a 59th-minute game-winner to end the Lopes' first postseason-eligible season.

LAST TIME OUT
- GCU opened the final home weekend with an overtime win over Utah Valley with senior Jackson Jellah netting the game-winner off a corner kick from sophomore Justin Rasmussen in the 100th minute.
- Jellah propelled the Lopes to a senior-day upset on Sunday, scoring a 27th-minute goal that helped the Lopes take down No. 8 Air Force.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The WAC Tournament kicks off in Seattle, Wash. Matches will be played on Wednesday (quarterfinals), Friday (semifinals) and Sunday (final). The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. GCU'sΒ first-round opponent is to be determined.
