The Grand Canyon University men's golf team today completed the first two rounds of the Dash Thomas Memorial, hosted by Boise State at the BanBury Golf Course in Eagle, Idaho. The Antelopes shot a 14-over 582 through 36 holes on the par-71 course.
Sacramento State leads the field with a two-under 566, followed by Utah State with a two-over 570. Idaho rounds out the top-three with a score of four-over 572.
The 'Lopes were tied for third with Utah State following the first 18 holes after shooting a three-over 287, just one stroke behind round one leaders Sacramento State and Idaho.
GCU's
Mark Geddes is tied for seventh with a two-round score of two-under 140. His 10 birdies on the day tied for second-most.
Alec Dahlquist is also tied for seventh as the two shot identical rounds of three-under 68 and one-over 72. Dahlquist's one-under on Par 4 holes tied for the third-best today.
Ty Travis of host Boise State is the top individual heading into the final round after shooting a seven-under 135 today. Idaho's Rylee Iacolucci is one stroke behind Travis and currently stands in second.
For the 'Lopes,
Hayden Webb is tied for 41
st overall with a score of nine-over 151 through 36 holes, while
Billy Comeaux is tied for 59
th at 14-over 156.
The final round will be played tomorrow with a shotgun start scheduled for 7 a.m. (Arizona time). Fans can check
