GCU Looks to Keep Improving at Pioneer Invitational

The Grand Canyon University men’s golf team starts the Pioneer Invitational today in Vallejo, Calif. at the Hiddenbrooke Golf Club.
The Antelopes are coming off a successful trip last week in San Bernardino, Calif. where they finished second of 17 teams. After a rough start to the season in the fall, the men's team is looking to build upon this past week's runner-up finish. No.24 GCU beat out No.1 CSU-Stanislaus, No.4 Central Oklahoma, No.11 Sonoma State, and No.20 CSU-Monterey Bay. No.5 Chico State was the team title winner.
Grand Canyon’s Brandon Moore finished in the top 10 placing seventh of 92 players.
Cal State East Bay is host of the Pioneer Invitational, a two-day three-round event. The first two rounds will be completed today with the third and final round tomorrow.
