Lax Moves to 10-1 With 18-2 Win Over Long Beach

The Grand Canyon University lacrosse team pushed their record to 10-1 overall with an 18-2 victory over Cal State Long Beach at the Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix, Ariz.
The win improved the Antelopes’ Southwestern Lacrosse Conference record to 5-1.
Grand Canyon wasted little time in putting the game out of reach, scoring eight goals to take an 8-0 lead after one quarter. The Antelopes extended their lead to 10-0 at the half and 16-1 after three.
Carson Barton led GCU with an 11-point game, scoring four goals and tallying seven assists. Chris McWilliams had three goals, while Kyle Bailey, Matt Mountain and Cody Wagner added two apiece.
Andrew Hunter made five saves in recording the win.
Grand Canyon is now off until April 14, when they will host UNLV at 1 p.m. on the GCU Soccer Field.
