The Grand Canyon University lacrosse team ran their record to 4-0 with a 10-8 come-from-behind win over Northeastern on Thursday at Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix, Ariz.
Northeastern is currently ranked No. 20 in the MCLA D-I national poll. GCU is ranked No. 10 in D-II. The win was the Antelopes’ second over a D-I school this year, also beating Arizona in Tucson.
The Antelopes trailed 8-6, but used four fourth quarter goals to close out the victory.
Carson Barton led GCU with four goals.
Chris McWilliams added a goal and an assist.
Andrew Hunter had 16 saves.
Grand Canyon returns to action on Saturday when they will face Concordia in Irvine, Calif. They will stay in Irvine to play UC Irvine on Sunday.
