The Grand Canyon University men’s golf team is in second of 19 teams after the end of today’s first round of the Coyote Intercollegiate Classic with an 11-over par 291 in San Bernardino, Calif.
The second round has been delayed due to bad weather conditions and darkness.
Despite challenging weather conditions the No.23 Antelopes have managed to remain just six-strokes back of No.5 Chico State who holds the lead with a five-over par 285.
The University of Redlands’ Jeremy Sanders is leading the tournament with a three-under par 67.

Ryan Mahoney leads the team with his one-over par 71 to tie for sixth after round one. Senior

Sam Whitehead are tied for 11
th with 73. Senior
Tyler Wooldridge is tied for 21
st with 74 and junior
Marcus Synegal is tied for 43
rd with 76.
The second round is scheduled to resume tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. at the Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino, Calif. The third round will immediately follow, weather permitting.
