Geddes Named to PING All-Region Team

Grand Canyon University men’s golfer Mark Geddes has been named to the Division II PING All-Region team, the honor was announced Wednesday, June 15 by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
During his first season in collegiate competition, Geddes led the ‘Lopes all year, ranking 21st in the west region. At the Central/West Super Regional he tied for the individual qualifying spot but fell short in the playoff hole against Kyle Souza of Chico State University, losing a trip to the national tournament.
Geddes received the highest regional and national ranking on the team and has a team-low 74 stroke average. He shot a low-round 69 in three tournaments, the Western Washington University Invite, the Chico State Wildcat Classic, and the Central/West Super Regional tournament.
Geddes also contributed four top-10 finishes during the 2010-11 year. His sixth-place finish at the Pacific West Conference Championship earned him a spot on the first team all-conference along with teammates Matt Pridey and Jacob Golembiewski.
Geddes has three years of eligibility remaining at Grand Canyon.
