Four 'Lopes Named to PacWest Honor Roll

Four Grand Canyon University players have been named to the PacWest Men's Soccer Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll.
The awards, for games played Sept. 13-19, were announced last night by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix.
Junior midfielder Cordero Young (Orlando, FL/Central Florida Christian Academy, Tyler Junior College) amassed eight points on four goals. He scored twice, including the game-winner, in a 6-0 win over Academy of Art on Sept. 18. He also scored twice in a 3-0 blanking of Dominican on Sept. 16.
Sophomore forward Kyle Ciliento (Phoenix, AZ/Pinnacle, Saint Mary's College of California) helped lead GCU to a 2-0-0 week by scoring five points on two goals and one assist. He had an assist in the win over Dominican and scored the final two goals in the victory over Academy of Art.
Senior goalkeeper Ben Paneccasio (Sydney, Australia/Rosebank College, Tyler Junior College) posted two shutouts. He had three saves in 180 minutes.
Senior midfielder Joao Vieira (Amparo, Brazil/Barbosa, Marshalltown CC) scored the winning goal in the victory over Dominican and recorded three points in the two wins. He assisted on the game-winner vs. Academy of Art.
