Former GCU golfers Terence Daniels and Camron Howell did not make the cut to the match-play portion of the USGA 110th U.S. Amateur Championships held at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash. this week.
After two rounds of stroke play, Daniels, the two-time Pacific West Conference Player of the Year who finished his GCU career this past spring, shot a 156 (80-76) and was 14-over-par. He finished tied for 180th.
Howell, who played for GCU in 1999 and helped lead the team to a 12th place finish in the NCAA Championships, tied for 302nd with a two-day total of 170 (91-79).
