BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Grand Canyon University men's golf team sat in fifth place after the first round of the LaMacchiaWestern Washington Invitational Friday at Bellingham Golf & Country Club.
The Antelopes shot 6-over 294 as a team on the 6,575-yard tract. Sonoma State led at 10-under 278. Chico State was second at 283, and Western Washington third at 287.
GCU's Robbie LaMacchia (pictured) shot even-par 72, and was tied for 13th. Brandon Hill and Mike Krahe each shot 1-over 73 and were tied for 22nd.
