Grand Canyon men's golf team finished second at the University of Wyoming Cowboy Classic Tuesday at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale.
The Antelopes, which led by four strokes after the first two rounds, finished three strokes behind repeat champion UC Davis. GCU shot 274-274-288 -- 836. UC Davis shot 273-280-280 -- 833 to win for the tournament for second straight year.
Grand Canyon was the only NCAA Division II school in the field. It was the best collective finish for the Antelopes as a team this season.
GCU's Bentley Nakasawa shot a 3-under 207 to tie for 12th. Teammate Terence Daniels shot even-par 210 to finish tied for 19th, and Donald Zaruba III (pictured) tied for 25th at 1-over 211.
